054: Maybe a Famous Bison Died

This episode, the fellows jump right in, starting out with a Beer Brag from Michael that hails from the Southeast and one from Mike that hails from friend of the show Aaron! For the Week in Geek, Michael reports back on Mike's Podcast Pitch from Episode 51- was it a home run or was it a swing and a miss? Then, Mike discusses a few video games for his half of the segment. Next, Michael tests Mike's knowledge on a particular US State (and is very generous with considering Mike's answers close to being correct) that hints towards this episode's brew. Lastly, after an intro to the brewery by Mike, the boys quaff the selected brew for today's FDR!

Episode 53 begins with a quickly abandoned inside joke, but gets better from there! Mike's Beer Brag encompasses old brews and new, and Michael has a Terrible Beer Brag. Then, Mike calls a last minute audible.com for his Week in Geek, and in a power move, Michael changes the format of the segment slightly and performs a Geek Brag. Next, the boys head to the door and grab a few notes from the Pale Mailbag. Finally, the FDR- where a remix from an established brewery leaves the co-hosts baffled!

Against all odds, the boys are celebrating one year of American Pale Males. After some Beer Brags hailing from Iowa City and Belgium, the fellas discuss both analog and digital gaming for the Week in Geek. Then, Michael digs back through the year with an analyst's eye and hits Mike with some data regarding the beer ratings and brewery locations that have been featured on the show. Finally, the FDR- a beer that is seemingly a mixture of Michael and Mike's favorite beer types. Will this jack of all trades be a master of none? Only one way to find out!
