Welcome to a very special live edition of the podcast. Jeremy and Michael hit the road, recording while going to an Octoberfest [sic] celebration. On the way, Jeremy recaps his experience at Film Scream, the late night horror movie marathon. Afterwards, we arrive at our destination. What lies within the the Octoberfest [sic] tent? Many brews to sample and review?

237: Sweet Units
Jeremy has a new IPA from New Belgium (apparently voted in by the crowd) which he gives tepid accolades. Michael recalls imbibing an Oktoberfest as the two lament the bizarre examples of the style they've tried so far this year. We talk local GABF winners, which devolves into complaining about conventions. Then we get into the FDR, where another Oktoberfest graces our studios. Like the others, this one gets weird.

236: Mint Marzen
For a change, Michael has a German beer that does not get lauded, while Jeremy says Aloha to pineapple. We then tear open the tailgates of hell, going over Jeremy's informal poll and lambasting new products. Could some of these cans be taken in at work? Probably not. We then get into the FDR, where something does not sit quite right.

235: Oktoberfest 5
Yes yes, bad evening to one and all. Jeremy has a trivia misadventure while confirming last week's rating. Michael tries Ruthie's balancing act. Dark Lord is not so lordy. Ok, now that the chungus is out of the way, onto what we've all been waiting for: The 1st Annual Lawnmower Man Awards. We pick a winner after much ricititude, debate, and... 3-2-1 contact! I can't tell you the winner here though, you have to listen. We then get into the FDR where one of the Big Six straddles the style line to deliver a nicely balanced triangle of flavor. O'zapft is!
